Print versionU.S. fast-food chain Subway plans to open up two restaurants in central Riga, according to information on the company's web-site, informs LETA/Nozare.lv.

According to the web-site, the new restaurants will be located on Merkela Street 6-3, near Krisjana Barona Street, as well as on Zigfrida Anna-Meierovica Boulevard next to Old Town.
The restaurants are also looking for employees, and will likely be open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Subway had opened up a restaurant in Old Town in the late 1990s but eventually closed.
As reported, the popular U.S. sandwich chain Subway plans to expand into Latvia and Lithuania by year's end, the company's regional director, Mike Charest, previously announced.
The sandwich chain currently has 4,018 fast-food restaurants in Europe.
Last spring, Subway opened its first restaurant in Estonia.
