The first newly built fire station in Latvia since the restoration of independence will be unveiled in Cesis next week, LETA was informed by the State Fire and Rescue Service.

This is the first specifically built fire station in Latvia since the restoration of independence. The new facility has been constructed taking into account all the necessities for modern day firefighters to do their jobs at a high level.
Many fire stations have been updated and renovated over the years throughout the country, but the new Cesis Fire Station is the first one that has been newly constructed.
The total cost of the new fire station was EUR 4.27 million.
The fire station will be unveiled on December 4.
