"It is surprising that British, French and Dutch lawyers supported the Lithuanian national, meanwhile the Lithuanian representatives where on the German side," Aleknaite-Abramikiene says.
The parliamentarian is also going to question the justice minister and the prime minister what the reasons behind the decision that the Lithuanian state should not represent the interests of its national were.
As reported to ELTA, on Friday, the European Court of Justice admitted that minor Luisa Rinau had to be returned to her father.
The court emphasized that the decision by the German lawyers could not be recognised invalid in Lithuania, and mother Inga Rinau, fighting for the right to raise the daughter, has to give Luisa back to father.
The Court of Justice in Luxembourg for the first time applied a new method of urgency examination.
Inga Rinau has said that her husband, a German, left the family when daughter was only two. In June 2006 she together with her daughter returned to Lithuania and decided to stay here. The court called this action an illegal keeping of a child.
Rinau has hidden her daughter after earlier unfavourable decisions of the court. This story received a broad attention in the society. German embassy was presented with more than 30,000 signatures of Lithuanian citizens, supporting the fight of the mother for the right to raise the daughter in Lithuania.
