Bahtijors Hasans officially becomes Latvia's ambassador to OSCE

On August 28th, the new Latvian Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Bahtijors Hasans submitted his accreditation letter to OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, LETA was informed by the Foreign Ministry's Press and Information Division.
Hasans and Zannier discussed the latest OSCE developments and regional matters, including the situation in Central Asia, the Eastern Partnership countries and the Middle East. The sides also exchanged opinions on preparations for the 20th meeting of the Ministerial Council in Kiev in December.
Hasans informed the secretary general about Latvia's priorities in the presidency of the Council of the European Union. The officials also discussed Zannier's upcoming visit to Latvia in September and participation in the annual security and foreign policy forum "Riga Conference 2013".
