Urmas Soorumaa.

“In the past 18 years I have been to a lesser or greater extent involved in security businesses in Estonia and in the countries in the close vicinity,” commented Sõõrumaa. He added that he knows the area very thoroughly and believes that it is reasonable to focus one’s business operations during the difficult times in the economy.

Sõõrumaa estimated that K Grupp is a solid enterprise that has potential of becoming a leader in Estonia’s security services market.

Former owner and CEO of K Grupp Margus Laasi noted that if he had received this proposal from anyone else, he would even not have considered it. “Sõõrumaa is the No 1 brand on Estonia’s security services market and only good things can come out of this transaction,” said Laasi.

Laasi did not want to disclose, how much Sõõrumaa paid for the company.

K Grupp’s turnover generated in 2008 amounted to 34.4 million kroons and the enterprise earned a profit of 4 million kroons.
