The European documentary TV network "Arte" will air a program on television channels and audiences in Latvia at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, as part of the series "Zapping International", documentaries about television around the world, as the journalist and assistant of the production company "Point du Jour International" in Latvia Ieva Puíe informed the business information portal "Nozare.lv".

Puíe pointed out that the broadcast will be the biggest ever publicity to Latvian televisions in Europe, informs LETA.

Puíe informs that "Arte" team from Paris visited Riga in October, trying to get a glimpse into the current trends in state and commercial televisions in Latvia, as well as the prevailing moods in the society.

The broadcast features interviews with the Latvian anthropology professor Roberts Kilis, the Latvian State Television's (LTV) Channel 1 director Baiba Smite, the creative director at the television company LNT Niks Volmars, and the First Baltic Channel news service editor Julija Pigorova.

In the program, "Arte" looks into the LTV's historic drama series "Liktena lidumnieki", Andrejs Mamikins' show "Bez cenzuras" ("Without Censorship"), the "Singing Families" show and celebrity chef Martins Sirmais' show "Sirma edienkarte" at LNT television and some other programs aired in Latvia, Puíe informed.

Arte (Association Relative a la Télévision Européenne) is a Franco-German TV network that broadcasts in these two countries. Its programs are also available via satellite or cable television throughout Europe and globally.
