Great interest in Paris for Latvian lingerie

Latvian lingerie manufacturers enjoyed great interest from visitors to the Paris exhibition "Salon International de La Lingerie", the business portal Nozare.lv/LETA was told by Juris Hadarovics, chairman of the Association of Latvian Lingerie Manufacturers. 14 Latvian lingerie manufacturers were represented at the exhibition: New Rosme, Orhideja, Stefi L, Roksa, Tonus Elast, Novella, Regina N, Glora, Magija, Diole, Bogema Lingerie, Nikol Djumon, Gracija-RIM and V.O.V.A..

Hadarovics indicated that Latvian lingerie had achieved high assessments for quality and design both from buyers, as attested by the high number of visitors to the Latvian stands, as well as from the exhibition's organizers, as a professional committee selected and specially exhibited the Latvian brands Orhideja and Gracija-RIM in the central hall, where products thought to represent fashion tendencies for the coming season were displayed and examined by a jury.

The association's chairman explained the great interest in Latvian lingerie as stemming from its high quality combined with competitive pricing. "At present, in the time of the world economic crisis, women are choosing to purchase underwear which is in line with the work of the world's leading designers, but which has a much more attractive price," said Hadarovics, adding that Latvian lingerie fully complies with these criteria.

Lower production costs allow Latvian manufacturers to offer competitive prices, while use of materials from world-class suppliers ensures the high quality of the end product.

The "Salon International de La Lingerie" exhibition took place from January 23 to 25 in the French capital Paris. The exhibition is one of the world's major events in the lingerie industry, and attracts around 30,000 visitors from around the world. This year 390 companies exhibited their products.
