Eesti Loto applies for online-gaming licence

Print versionEstonian state-owned lottery organiser AS Eesti Loto is applying for a long-distance gambling licence that would give the company a right to offer different lottery games on the Internet too, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

AS Eesti Loto board chairman Heiki Kranich noted that the corresponding application would be submitted this week.
He said that so far, Eesti Loto has been a lottery seller mainly but this year it intends to expand its product portfolio and come to the market with web games too. “We don’t intend to start offering casino-like games, but easier games focused on entertainment,” said Kranich.
He said that talks have been launched with producers of different games and the selection of online-games the company would offer should become clear in the next few months.
