Estonian businessman Teder opens the biggest shopping centre in Ukraine

Estonian businessman Hillar Teder opened on Friday festively Ukraine’s largest shopping centre Dneprovskaja Pristan ZAO in central Kiev, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

The 68,000 sq metres large shopping centre is located in central Kiev and by now the retail part of it is in use, operated by French retail chain Auchan. The part with shops of international brands, a movie theatre, catering facilities and parking lot are added.

 

Hillar Teder said that it is Ukraine’s largest shopping centre, of which the first stage has been completed now. He estimated the value of the investment at 150 million USD. He promised to build another stage of similar volume by football world cup 2012.

 

5 Estonian constitution companies worked on the object and several Estonian architectural bureaus were also employed.

 

In December 2008, Estonian state credit agency Kredex issued an export guarantee worth 300 mln kroons for the Estonian construction firms to build a Kiev hypermarket and three more potential hypermarkets in Ukraine. The limit was used for just one object, in the amount of 200.1 mln kroons. The development of the guaranteed objects is financed by Teder’s Expert Capital group and international financial institutions, including EBRD.
