The new shopping mall "Galleria Riga", located in the city block between Dzirnavu, Blaumana, Brivibas and Terbatas Streets, will open for business on October 22, the business portal Nozare.lv was informed by representative of the mall Kristine Tjarve.

It was previously planned to open the shopping center at the end of September; however, some of the tenant businesses have been unable to finish their construction and furnishing activities on time, said Tjarve.

At present, the shopping center has concluded rental agreements with tenants for the majority of its available floor area. Most spaces have already been transferred to the tenants for the fitting out of shops and restaurants, but these works may not have been completed by the time of the center's official opening. Initially only around 70% of the center's shops and restaurants will be open for business, writes LETA.

The center will have an area of 41,000 square meters, including around 170 shops and restaurants on seven levels. Underground parking will be available for 150 vehicles, with 50 more spaces available nearby.

According to information from Firmas.lv, the owners of Galleria Riga are the Danish firm Titan Invest, with 82.05% of shares, and Luxembourg company Acacia Sarl Acacia, with 17.95%.
