Rakvere meat industry boss will work in Finnish owner firm

The manager of Estonia's largest meat industry Rakvere Lihakombinaat (RLK) Anne Mere will start working in the company's Finnish owner firm HKScan and will be replaced by Tallegg's manager Teet Soorm in RLK, LETA/National Broadcasting reports.

Anne Mere will be the manager of HKScan Finland and will be responsible for managing the concern's Finnish and Baltic markets.

 

The turnover of HKScan in Finland and the Baltic states was 879 million EUR in 2010, which formed 40% of the total turnover of HKScan.

 

Teet Soorm so far managed two of HKScan's subsidiaries in Estonia, poultry company Tallegg and pig farm Ekseko. Now he will manage these two, Rakvere Lihakombinaat as well as Rakvere's subsidiaries in Latvia and Lithuania, Rigas Miesnieks and Klaipedos Maistas.

 

Soorm said that his aim is to improve market position in all operating spheres of the concern and that besides domestic markets, he sees growth potential in the Scandinavian and Russian directions.
