UAB Palink, managing IKI, IKI Express and IKI Cento retail chains in Lithuania and Latvia, from August 2012 will have a new CEO – Emil Lazarov Stefanov.

Until now he was managing REWE Group retail chains BILLA Bulgaria and BILLA Romania. Stefanov will take IKI CEO position over from Marcel Haraszti, who will continue his career in REWE Group, Palink said in a press release.

Stefanov is already studying company's processes, gets to know employees and visits stores for a few months, writes LETA/ELTA.

"I am very happy to find such a professional team here in IKI, to meet employees with lot of knowledge and knowing their job well. IKI is a well-managed company, therefore a core goal for me will be to continue its successful development," he says.

Stefanov has 23 years of experience in trade sector including companies Reckitt Benckiser, METRO Cash & Carry. From 2003 he was working for REWE Group's companies BILLA Bulgaria and recently – BILLA Romania.

Haraszti was managing Palink from 2008 and in 2011 company reached one of the best financial results during its 20 years of existence in Lithuania.

"I am glad that during such a difficult period of economy crisis we successfully managed to continue company's growth as IKI became a retailer with the highest number of shops in Lithuania. Now I'm ready for the new challenges in REWE Group and I strongly believe that new CEO together with the team will create many new success stories of IKI," says Haraszti.
