Austrian investors bought a leading Estonian dairy farm Aravete

The group of investors that now hold 82% of Aravete Agro had already previously acquired six dairy farms in Estonia.
According to the Commercial Register, major holdings in Aravete Agro have changed owners in April and early July this year. The company’s managing director Leonid Linkov has sold his shares in the dairy farm personally and as co-owner through a number of various enterprises.
The new owners have bought a total of 81.9% of Aravete Agro. The remaining 18.1% are divided between approximately 450 minor shareholders.
Although legally, the purchased shares are owned by OÜ Friestein that deals with founding companies and provides book-keeping services, the transactions were financed by Austrian investors represented by Vaklak Group. The head of OÜ Vaklak is Austrian citizen Wolfgang Leitner. He is also a member in the management boards or supervisory boards of all seven dairy farms that are subsidiaries of Vaklak Group.
