Tele2 earned LVL 40.6 million in 2007

Tele2, one of the leading Latvian mobile phone operators, earned a profit of LVL 40,634,552 in 2007, according to data from the Registry of Enterprises Lursoft data.

In 2006 Tele2 posted LVL 33,667,880 in profit.

 

Tele2 turnover last year reached LVL 122,879,893, compared to LVL 108,992,421 in 2006.

 

On the other hand, the profit of Tele2 Holdings decreased twofold to LVL 34,688,541 last year. In 2006, Tele2 Holdings was the most profitable company in Latvia with a profit of LVL 68,688,559.

 

Tele2 Holdings is the owner of Tele2.

 

LVL 9.7 million was invested in the Tele2network development last year, or 26.7% more than in 2006 when the investments in the development of the company’s network totalled LVL 7.7 million.

 

Tele2 launched in 1997 as Baltkom GSM.

 

In 2000, the company was taken over by Sweden’s Tele2 AB, the company’s name was changed accordingly.

 

Tele2 has more than 1.1 million clients in Latvia.
