Value of plywood imports to Latvia decreased by 13.7% in January-August

In the first eight months of 2012, the total value of plywood imports to Latvia decreased by 13.7% from the respective period in 2011, according to data from the Agriculture Ministry's Forest Department.

The total value of plywood imports amounted to LVL 7.867 million in January-August 2012, compared to LVL 9.111 million in January-August 2011, writes LETA/Nozare.lv.
Altogether, 25,700 cubic meters of plywood was imported in January-August this year, compared to 33,200 cubic meters in January-July 2011.
Most of plywood imports – 84.1% (worth LVL 6.61 million) – came from Russia.
