Estonian Forest Management Centre earns 16.6 mln euros in 9 months

The state-owned Estonian State Forest Management Centre (SFMC) earned an unaudited net profit of 16.6 million euros in the first nine months of the year 2012, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

This is less than the 25.4 million euros earned at the same time last year.
The centre’s sales turnover was 104.6 million euros, the same as a year ago.
SFMC sold 90 million euros worth of 2.1 million cubic metres of timber as forest material for the average price of 42.9 euros per cubic metre, which is by 6% less at the same time last year. It sold 0.27 million cubic metres as hacked timber for the average price of 32.7 euros per cubic metres, for a total of 8.9 million euros.
The centre plans to have 128.9 mln euros of sales revenue and 11.5 million euros of profit this year.
