Lithuania's TV advertising increased by 20.6% in 2012, press advertising decreased by 17%

In 2012, compared to January-November of 2011, volume of television (TV) advertising increased by 20.6% in Lithuania. The increase was due to volume of TV channels TV Info, Lux, NTV Mir and TV8, reports LETA/ELTA.

Data of these channels has been collected only since early 2012. Without these channels, TV advertising growth was at 5.3%.

 

During the first eleven months of this year, TV transmitted 24.673 million of advertising seconds, it is 1.202 million of commercials.

 

Volume of press advertising in 2012 compared to January-November of 2011, fell by 16.8%. Advertising space in newspapers decreased by 22.7%, while in magazines fell by 0.9%.

 

Cinema advertising grew by 66.7% year-on-year. This year, within the first eleven months 191,000 commercials were broadcasted in cinemas.
