Premier Pictures enters Baltic film market

This week the film distribution company Premier Pictures starts operating in the Baltic states, films presented by Premier Pictures will be screened at the newly opened multiplex cinema "Cinamon" in Riga this week already, as told the company's spokeswoman Linda Liepina.

Currently Premiere Pictures offers one film in Riga at the "Cinamon" movie theater: "How To Lose Friends and Alienate People", starring Simon Pegg, Megan Fox, Kirsten Dunst and Gillian Anderson.

 

The company's representatives informed that Premier Pictures plant to offer a wide range of films in the Baltic states and considers opening of the multiplex cinema "Cinamon" in Riga as the right time for entering Latvia.

 

As reported, Riga's "Alfa" Mall on Brivibas Street opened a new wing yesterday with 20 new stores and the eight-theater movie center "Cinamon". Over LVL 3.2 million were invested in construction of the cinema complex which has more than 4,000 square meters floor space.

 

There are 60 to 410 seats in each hall of the cinema center, which has the capacity to accommodate 1,360 spectators in total. At the new cinema center it is planned to demonstrate not only Hollywood blockbusters, but also films by independent film studios.
