Altia to transfer Baltic manufactory from Latvia to Estonia

Print versionThe Altia Corporation decided to transfer alcohol production operations of Jaunalko SIA from Latvia to the plant in Tabasalu, in order to concentrate Baltic production operations into one single unit, writes LETA/Postimees Online.

The decision to merge in September 2013 the production of Estonian and Latvian brands is in compliance with Altia’s general strategy to enhance cost efficiency.
The closing down of the Jaunalko plant in Latvia will affect 26 employees.
Altia Corporation acquired majority holding in Jaunalko SIA in September 2012.
