Budget of Lithuanian National Health Insurance Fund approved

After the submission, the Seimas of Lithuania approved the draft budget for 2014 of the National Health Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Health (NHIF), informs LETA/ELTA.

The budget includes over LTL 4.425 billion (EUR 1.282 billion) of revenue and the same amount of expenditure.

 

It is planned that next year a sum of LTL 4.425 billion (EUR 1.282 billion) will be allocated to health care. It is by 7.9% more compared to the NHIF for 2013.

 

31 PMs voted in favour of the draft budget, 6 MPs against it with 5 abstentions. After the approval, the draft will be further debated in the Seimas Committee on Health Affairs.
