BC, Riga, 15.01.2014.Print version
The prosecutor's office has lifted the status of a suspect for Liepajas metalurgs shareholders Sergejs Zaharjins and Ilja Segals.

The State Police applied the status of a suspect to Zaharjins this past summer. The same status was also given to then Liepajas metalurgs deputy council chairman Aleksejs Zaharjins and board member Segals.

Sergejs Zaharjins' attorney Egons Rusanovs confirmed LETA that the status of a suspect has been lifted for his client. This status has also been lifted for Aleksejs Zaharjins and Segals.

Rusanovs declined to comment on the reasons behind this decision. It was made by the prosecutor's office and the attorney had no other information about the criminal process and its further developments.
