Zala josta buys Vides pakalpojumu grupa in Latvian waste management field

Waste management company Zala josta has acquired another waste management company, Vides pakalpojumu grupa (VPG), as Zala josta CEO Janis Lapsa told the Nozare.lv business portal, cites LETA.

As a result, Zala josta will be able to pursue its expansion plans, implement vertical integration with other market players in order to consolidate its positions on the waste management market, Lapsa went on to say.

 

Lapsa said that Zala josta would carry on to become one of the strongest market players that would be able to consolidate the market.

 

In 2012, VPG posted EUR 121,300 in losses, according to Firmas.lv data. The company's turnover amounted to EUR 7 million in 2012.

 

VPG was founded in 1995, until 2009 the company's name was Nelsens. The company's share capital is EUR 742,739. The company belonged, until acquired by Zala josta, to company Bioinvest, in which businessman Guntars Kokorevics, via other companies, holds a 90% interest and the family and partners of ex-Prime Minister Andris Skele – the other 10%.

 

Zala josta was founded in 2002. The company's share capital is LVL 700,000 (EUR 996,000). The company belongs to Per Idea (59.8%), Zala karte (40%) and Latvijas zala josta, according to Firmas.lv data.
