Aldaris previously informed that the former CEO Veli Pekka Tennila was planning resign from the holding company Carlsberg Group and will be replaced by Karstein, the head of Saku brewery in Estonia. It is expected that Kastein will work as the CEO both at Aldaris and Saku.
Kastein joined the Saku beer brewery in 2008 as a sales director, but in 2011, he become the CEO.
"Firmas.lv" information indicates that Kastein was registered as the CEO of Aldaris on June 3; since May 20, Edgars Podens is an Aldaris board member, as is Ugis Mihnevics since this past February.
Aldaris was founded in 1865 and is owned by the Danish beer producing company Carlsberg. Carlsberg controls Baltic Beverages Holding, which owns 19 breweries in seven Eastern European countries, including Aldaris in Latvia.
Last year, Aldaris announced that its main focus in Latvia will be brewing exclusive and "Premium" beer brands, therefore PET bottle manufacturing was transferred to Lithuania and Estonia.
