SmartLynx planning flights from Riga and Tallinn to 12 destinations

According to Zygimantas Surintas,
SmartLynx Airlines CEO the company will continue
implementing its development strategy both by enlarging the fleet and launching
new flight routes, as well as commencing collaboration with new ACMI partners.
“During the upcoming season we will continue to offer wide variety of flights for the residents of Baltic region to beloved beach and skiing holiday destinations. According to current schedule, from Riga and Tallinn we fly to twelve destinations during winter. This means that we will continue collaborating with leading tour operators in the Baltics, for example Novatours, Tez Tour and Aurinko and will offer charter flights to other tour operators - among them to Thomas Cook and TUI Group.” The company will also continue its activity in the ACMI (Aircraft-Crew-Maintenance-Insurance) segment by renting out airplanes, crew services and related technical equipment to airlines from around the world.
This summer was quite successful for SmartLynx Airlines. Charter flights from Riga and Tallinn flew to 42 destinations in Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Cyprus, France, Malta, the UK, Iceland, the Danish Faroe Islands, Bulgaria, Turkey, Tenerife (Canary Islands) and Egypt.
The changing of
seasons logically calls for a revised flight schedule. As usual, in the
autumn/winter season SmartLynx Airlines will resume flights from Riga to Egypt on route
Riga-Hurghada-Riga; the flights will begin at the end of October and be
available through April 2017.
Flights to Tenerife and Lanzarote in the Canary Islands will also be resumed. Flights on route Riga-Tenerife-Riga will be resumed in October of this year and be available through April next year, while flights to Lanzarote will begin in November.
The route to Funchal
in Madeira will be resumed in October, while direct flights to the United Arab
Emirates on route Riga-Ras al-Khaimah-Riga will be provided from November until
the beginning of January next year.
Flights from Riga for skiers will begin in January; these will be flights to Geneva (Switzerland) and Bergamo (Italy), and they are planned to be provided until end of March next year.
As previous years, SmartLynx
Airlines will resume flights from
Tallinn to Egypt during upcoming winter season in the route Tallinn–Hurghada–Tallinn; the flights will be resumed at the end of
October and will be ensured until April 2017. From October until March, SmartLynx will also arrange separate
connecting flights: Tallinn–Hurghada–Antalya and Tallinn–Hurghada–Heraklion–Tallinn.
From December to April, SmartLynx
will fly tourists from Tallinn to skiing trips to such airports as Salzburg,
Bergamo, Friedrichshafen, Turin and Geneva.
Compared to last year, airline company will significantly increase direct flights to Canary islands during upcoming winter season. Direct flights to Tenerife and Fuerteventura will take place from this October until next April, flights to Lanzarote will be available from December until February. SmartLynx will also relaunch direct flights to Dubai from December until February.

SmartLynx Airlines are constantly improving the punctuality of their flights, and this summer 89% of all their flights to/from Riga and Tallinn arrived on time.
