Bertolt Flick – new Honorary Member of the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce

”We are deeply grateful to Bertolt Flick for his personal dedication to the business relations between Germany and the Baltic States”, Jörg Tumat (Latvijas Gāze), current President of the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Latvia, acknowledged the long-standing engagement of the 46-year-old President and CEO of the Latvian airline airBaltic in different bodies of the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce.
Bertolt Flick actively promoted and supported the establishment of the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the officially founding assembly on 1 March 2004 in Berlin. He served five years as Regional President of the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Latvia after being elected in February 2005. For the last six years, Bertolt Flick was also a member of the Board of the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania and was entrusted with the post of its Vicepresident. His membership in the Board ended on 26 March 2010.
The award ceremony was staged after the German-Latvian Business Forum, during which the German-Baltic Chamber of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (AHK) welcomed the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Angela Merkel as guest of honor. Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis also addressed the audience of 150 people at the forum.
The German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania is part of the worldwide network of German Chambers of Commerce abroad (AHKs) and as the only international chamber of commerce in the region it is organized over the three Baltic states with more than 380 member companies.
