Number of Edelaraudtee passengers grew by 3% in 11 months

The number of passengers on board of the trains operated by Estonia’s largest passenger railway operator Edelaraudtee is constantly growing, in the 11 months of 2010, Edelaraudtee carried more than 1.6 million passengers, by 3% more than a year ago, writes LETA/Äripäev.ee.

The most popular route in terms of passengers continues to be the route Tallinn-Türi-Viljandi with 577,925 passengers, followed by Tallinn-Tartu-Valga with 523,427 passengers, Tallinn – Rapla with 173,837 passengers, Tallinn-Pärnu by 167,317 passengers, Tallinn-Narva by 164,915 and Tartu-Orava by 29,501 passengers.

 

In the 11 months of 2010, Edelaraudtee trains have been used on 1,636,922 occasions for a whole of 115 million km.
