BC, Tallinn, 26.06.2013.Print version
The authorities of the Leningrad oblast in Russia are considering building a fee-charging freeway between St Petersburg and Narva, writes LETA/National Broadcasting, citing RIA Novosti.

The new freeway would be an alternative to the current Tallinn Road, but would have toll-booths and would involve building a new bridge across the Narva River.

The plans involve financing by combining private capital and State funding.

According to initial calculations, the route would be 110 kilometres long and would cost 40 milliard roubles.
