The second train from the capital of Estonia to the cultural capital of Russia will be launched in August the earliest, instead of the initially planned July 18, 2013, the reported LETA, referring to the Estonian national broadcasting ERR.

The parties – Estonia and Russia are still unable to solve some technical issues; therefore, the train will go later than was scheduled at the start.

The dialogue with St. Petersburg city is still going on; however, some technical reasons, which still remain unnamed, have not been solved.

Representatives of Estonia-based transport company GoRail highlighted that the second train on route was necessary indeed.

Additional railway transport mean is needed both for tourism companies and passengers.

Currently, train connection between Tallinn and St. Petersburg is highly demanded, and in the summer time it boast occupancy rate at about 100 percent. Sometimes demand overpasses offer. The idea of launching the second evening train from Tallinn to Petersburg appeared this year, and as a result of discussions among authorities and signing cooperation memorandum between the countries, implementation of the project was launched, which still needs some refurbishing.
