BC, Tallinn, 11.03.2014.Print version
The week-long tests of electrobus were highly successful in Tallinn, the City of Tallinn said in a statement, cites LETA.
Tallinn Public transport Company made a test of a prototype of the electrobus CS10E, produced by an enterprise LBus Ltd. As it was a prototype model, it is too early to speak upon perfect technological and other relevant solutions. However, passengers were satisfied with a ride on the bus.
During eight days of a trial period, the bus covered 1,080 kilometers.
The electrobus was resistant to driving conditions in Tallinn, being on the line on average ten hours per day. The full load of its battery took eight hours a day after the working day. The next time, a hybred bus, produced by Volvo will be tested in Tallinn.
