Latvians' opinion about overall situation in the country keeps worsening - survey

Print versionIn January this year residents’ opinion about the overall situation in Latvia continued to worsen, according to the latest Latvian Barometer survey conducted by SKDS research agency referred LETA.

The survey shows that the share of respondents feeling that the situation in Latvia is developing in the wrong direction and dropped to minus 24 points in January, one of the lowest figures the past year. In March 2019, this figure dropped to minus 29 points.
The historically lowest point was reached during the height of the economic crisis in 2009 - when this figure dropped to minus 78 points.
Since the recovery from the economic crisis, the best economic assessments by resident was reached in October 2018 - minus 18 points.
