Several Google services disrupted globally
BC, Riga/Vilnius/Tallinn, 14.12.2020.Print version
A number of services provided by US IT giant Google were down around the globe on Monday, informs LETA/BBC.
Users short-term reported problems with Gmail, Google Drive, the Android Play Store, Maps, as well as YouTube. There are still problems with accessing contacts in Gmail though.
At 14.00, users around the world didn't have access to YouTube and Gmail, but also Google Docs and other services of the Google ecosystem haven't worked. Google search continues to work. Most of the complaints come from Europe.
At about 2:40 pm, YouTube, Gmail, and most other services were back online.
The cause of these outages is unclear.
