Estonia: All Narva schools switch to distance learning
The city government said the decision was prompted by rapid increases in coronavirus infection cases in several institutions of the city over the past week.
"Recently, outbreaks of the COVID-19 infection have taken place in several institutions of the city and the rapid increase in the numbers of infected people has made the coronavirus related situation in the city of Narva very serious," the city government said on social media on Wednesday evening.
In addition to general education schools, contact learning was discontinued also at Narva Children's Creative Center, Music School, Art School, Young Seafarers' Club and two sports schools.
The city's ice sports center closed last Saturday. Now also the city's sports center, Rugodiv culture center and youth center have closed their doors.
