Third KFC restaurant opened in Riga
Apollo Group plans to triple the number of KFC restaurants in Riga in the coming years.
In September another restaurant will be opened in Alfa shopping center, in October - a restaurant in Origo shopping center, and later another one in Old Riga.
"All KFC restaurants opened in Riga are a part of the further development strategy in the Baltic states that provides for expansion of the restaurant chain to 20 new restaurants in the coming three years," said KFC board member Mauri Dorbek.
As reported, in February 2019, Apollo Group acquired KFC restaurants in Latvia and Lithuania from Lithuania's Cibus Group.
Apollo Group is a holding company that owns Apollo book stores, Apollo cinemas, Blender juice bars and IceCafe ice cream cafes as well as the film distribution company Baltic Film Distribution. Apollo Group's major owners are Margus Linnamae through UP Invest OU with 55 percent and Ivar Venderlin through Sandbach OU with 45%.
