Pipedrive, the provider of customer relationship management (CRM) platforms founded in Estonia, on Tuesday launched a Chinese-language product as part of the company's plan to expand its business in Asia, reports LETA/BNS.

Taiwan, with a population of 24 million, will be the first target market. Sergei Anikin, CTO of Pipedrive, said that cloud-based software has great potential in Taiwan, as the island has a well-developed technology sector and extremely high internet usage.

"Adapting Pipedrive to traditional Chinese spelling was a strategic step for us, as we plan to strengthen our position in other similar markets such as Singapore and Hong Kong in the coming months. In the long run, of course, we see the adaptation of the Pipedrive product in simplified Chinese spelling to already enter the large mainland Chinese market," Anikin said.

To fulfill its business strategy, Pipedrive has entered into a reseller agreement with TS Cloud, a Taipei company that will support Pipedrive's marketing and sales operations in Taiwan.

In addition to traditional Chinese writing, of other Asian countries, Pipedrive has adapted its product for the Japanese and Korean markets.

Founded by Estonians Timo Rein, Urmas Purde, Ragnar Sass, Martin Henk and Martin Tajur in 2010, Pipedrive is a CRM platform developed from the salesperson's point of view. Today, Pipedrive's sales tools are used by more than 90,000 companies in more than 150 countries.
