HCL Technologies Lithuania boosts FY net profit by 21%

HCL Technologies Lithuania, an Indian-owned programming and IT company that opened a new office in Vilnius in 2019, has reported a net profit of 812,600 euros for the past financial year, a rise of 21% year-on-year, informs LETA/BNS.

Revenue for the financial year ended on March 31, 2020 surged more than five-fold to 21.687 million euros, according to the company's performance report.
HCL Technologies employed 464 people in Lithuania in late March. Data from the state social insurance fund Sodra show, however, that the number has since dropped to 416.
The company came to Lithuania after taking over the operations of Barclays' services center following the UK bank's withdrawal from the country.
HCL Technologies' total revenue amounts to almost 9 billion US dollars. The company has said its Lithuanian unit will be among the largest in Europe.
