36 Baltic companies included among top 500 Central, Eastern European companies
There are eight Latvian companies, one companies more from last year, six Estonian companies, which is five companies less, and 22 Lithuanian companies, one company more from last year, have been included in the list.
Chemical products wholesaler Uralkali Trading ranked 94th in the list, followed by Elko Grupa IT product wholesaler ranked 114th, Rimi Latvia retailer ranked 240th, Latvenergo energy company ranked 263rd, Maxima Latvija retailer ranked 267th, Severstal Distribution metalworking company ranked 333rd, Orlen Latvia oil product wholesaler ranked 448th, and Uralchem Trading chemical products wholesaler ranked 473rd.
Lithuania's top company is Vilniaus Prekyba, business and management consulting company, ranking 16th, while Estonia's top company is Eesti Energia energy company, ranking 227th.
The study classifies the strongest 500 companies in the region, taking into consideration both the turnover as well as additional factors such as number of employees, business sectors and markets where they are active.
