BC, Vilnius, 09.12.2020.Print version
Europe's largest secondhand clothing and accessory marketplace Vinted has launched in Italy. The company says the country's residents can use its app as of last week, informs LETA/BNS.
Vinted CEO Thomas Plantenga says entering the Italian market was an important step as it's a market that has a good understanding of fashion and has huge potential for building a large community for sharing used fashion goods.
Vinted users in Italy can also sell and buy goods in France which has over 12.5 million users. Based on the information Vinted has, around a third of Italian bought second-hand goods last year, and around half of them was bought online.
Launched in Lithuania in 2008, Vinted now operates in 13 European and global markets, and recently merged with a similar platform in the Netherlands.
