Wizz Air temporarily halting flights from Vilnius to Israel due to coronavirus
BC, Vilnius, 10.03.2020.Print version
Hungary's budget airline Wizz Air is temporarily cancelling flights from Vilnius to the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Eilat due to the worldwide coronavirus outbreak, informed LETA/BNS.
The carrier says it is cancelling flights from Thursday through March 23 after Israel imposed a 14-day quarantine for everyone arriving in the country.
According to Wizz Air, passengers with bookings affected by these cancellations are informed and rebooked on an alternative route at the earliest possible date.
Those who made their bookings via travel agencies – including online ones – are advised to contact the company they purchased their tickets from.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday that Israel will require a 14-day quarantine for anyone entering the country to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
