A new LNG shipment is scheduled to be delivered from the United States the Klaipeda-based LNG terminal in Lithuania, marking a fourth such delivery in the new gas year that started in October, writes LETA/BNS.

The terminal operator, Klaipedos Nafta, said on Friday the BW Lilac LNG tanker will arrive in Klaipeda for the first time. It is scheduled to deliver some 155,000 cubic meters of LNG on December 2, loaded at the Cameron LNG production facility in Hackberry, Louisiana. The facility resumed operation after it was forced to suspend production due to a hurricane.

Klaipedos Nafta says it hopes the changes to the LNG terminal's pricing and its differentiation based on a vessels size from 2021 will allow increasing the number of new users or attract more cargoes.

294-meter long and 46-meter wide, BW Lilac with the standard capacity of 174,000 cubic meters was built in 2018 and sails under Malta's flag.

A total of nine LNG shipments have been delivered to the Klaipeda LNG terminal since the start of its operation.
