Latvia: Citizen of Belarus fined EUR 4,300 for offering EUR 10 bribe to border guard

The Prosecutor's Office has fined a citizen of Belarus EUR 4,300 for offering a bribe to a border guard, LETA was informed by the State Border Guard.
The State Border Guard detained the person on the Braslava-Daugavpils road yesterday after he had parked illegally on the road.
After border guards approached the man to tell him that they will be issuing him a EUR 30 fine for the violation, he then offered the border guards a EUR 10 bribe.
The man was then detained and later issued a EUR 4,300 fine offering a bribe to law enforcement officials.
