Lithuania posts 0.2% monthly deflation for November
BC, Vilnius, 27.11.2020.Print version
Lithuania's monthly annual deflation rate, as measured by the EU Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), stood at 0.2% in November, initial data from the country's statistics office, Statistics Lithuania, showed on Friday.
The EU-harmonized annual rate stood 0.3 percentage points.
The annual consumer price index was driven up by an increase
in prices for healthcare goods and services, alcoholic beverages and tobacco
products, furnishings, household appliances and daily household care goods and
service.
This was partly offset by a decrease in the prices for
transport, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel goods and services.
The harmonized monthly inflation rate was close to zero in
October, and the harmonized annual inflation rate stood at 0.5%.
