Wage gap between Lithuanian regions narrows in Q3

Average gross monthly wages rose by 3% to 1,603.4 euros in the region of Vilnius and went up by 5.2% to 1,339.3 euros in the rest of Lithuania in the third quarter compared to the second quarter 2020, the country's statistics office said on December 3rd cites LETA/BNS.
The wage gap between Lithuania's two statistical regions – the Capital region and the less economically developed Central and Western region – narrowed by 19 euros over the quarter to 264 euros.
All counties registered quarterly growth in average gross wages, ranging from 3% in Vilnius County to 6.9% in Alytus County.
