Lithuanian central government deficit at EUR 3 b in January-October

The Lithuanian central government sector's deficit reached 2.99 bn euros in January-October 2020, versus a surplus of 352.2 mln euros in the same period last year, the Finance Ministry said.
The sector's revenue came in at 11.34 bn euros and expenditure
amounted to 13.9 bn euros.
Most of the revenue came from taxes and social
contributions, at 56.3% and 34.1% of the total revenue, respectively.
Some 55.2% of the total spending was on social payments.
Another 11.3 mln euros went to subsidies, and 11.5% to salaries and social
insurance.
